Another success story for S & Z!!!!!!! A customer has a new project for an end cap that is different in size than an existing cap and they do not have a draftsman with the time to draw it. S & Z Imports will draw the part for them for a nominal charge (which very often can be deducted from the first order). This gives us several advantages. 1. We will obviously get the opportunity to quote on the new project. 2. The drawing will contain specs that we can easily meet that our competition may not. 3. Customer will be in debt to us and will tend to want to give us the business. 4. Once we get started with a new customer we can easily show them new opportunities to save money by importing. Back to my story We have quoted the part and as soon as the customer completes his preparatory work we will be getting an order. However please remember this is the customer's design. All we are doing is putting his ideas down on paper. The customer is responsible for how it works. We can quickly make prototypes for them to use to test out their idea before hard tooling is made. My draftsman (who is a retired design engineer with numerous patents in his name) works as needed and has plenty of time to take on new projects.
