Reflections on the Past Year As you know, S & Z Imports started about a year ago. I thought it would be interesting to reflect on the progress we have made and discuss where we are going and what our plans are. We started off as an importer dealing exclusively with Taiwan. I have been dealing with my colleagues for over 15 years and have found them to be very responsible ethical and hard working group dedicated to growing their business by growing with their customers and doing whatever was necessary to help their customers. . However I have found that in certain instances (machined castings and other metal parts for example) they were not competitive with the manufacturers of China and some other Pacific Rim countries. As a result we have recently formed a relationship with several outstanding trading companies in China who have access to world class factories that were both ISO 9002 certified as well as QS certified in many instances. This has enabled us to become even more competitive. We have recently taken several orders that will be manufactured by my Chinese associates and samples are expected in less than 30 days. To ensure quality, my quality control company will also do an inspection of parts before shipment to ensure that the customer will receive what they need. Further I am planning a trip to China in early spring to meet with these trading companies and to visit these factories. In the past twelve months the S & Z Imports network of sales reps has grown to where we now have 12 rep organizations under contract. For the past six months we have had more than double the number of inquiries we had in the first six months. In addition to the steadily increasing number of orders on our books we are working on we have a large number of very promising quotes that have recently been issued to our customers. Further our existing customers are seeing what we can do and are looking at us for new ways that we can help them prosper in the years to come. As the economy comes out of recession we will be seeing new opportunities from both new and existing customers. Based on the orders already on the books it is clear we will have a very good year.
